Limits
Plunder is fair by design: how much you bet never decides whether you win. The only thing that decides the winner is which ship has fewer pirates — so a $0.50 player and a $100 player on the same winning ship earn the exact same return for every dollar. Betting more just means you win more (or lose more) in proportion — never a better chance. You always play against other players, not the house; the house simply takes a small 5% cut of the losing side. And you're matched with players of similar stakes, so your winnings are always meaningful for your level — no whale can shrink your payout, and no minnow can cap your upside.

Choose a table that matches your budget. Everyone at a table bets within the same range, so no single player can distort the payouts.

How the payout coefficient (X) works
X is your total return per $1 staked if your ship wins. It isn't a fixed number — it's set live by how the two money pools compare:
X = 1 + 0.95 × (money on the losing ship ÷ money on your winning ship)
The house keeps 5% of the losing pool; the rest is shared among winners in proportion to their stake. Every winner on the ship earns the same return per dollar — bet more, win more, in exact proportion.
What this means in practice:
- The multiplier is the same idea in every bracket. Brackets change how many dollars are in play, not the range of X. A round in the $0.50 table and the $20 table can produce the same X.
- Typical range: because the winning ship usually carries less money (fewer players), X is most often around 2× to 5×, and can go higher when the losing ship is much more crowded.
- Practical minimum: if your winning ship happens to hold most of the money, X can dip toward ~1.2×–1.5× (a smaller win).
- No fixed maximum: the more lopsided the losing ship, the larger your X. There is no cap — but nothing is guaranteed.
- You always risk your full stake. If your ship sinks (the overcrowded one), you lose your stake.
Quick example
Your ship (the winner) holds $5 total; the losing ship holds $6.
X = 1 + 0.95 × (6 ÷ 5) = 2.14×. A $2 stake returns $4.28; a $1 stake returns $2.14.
Bet size changes how much you win or lose — never whether your ship wins. Only the crew count decides that.
